How customers know us
Our customers know us through two brands:
- Archstone (most of our apartment properties)
- Charles E. Smith (our high-rise properties in the Washington, D.C. area)
Why do we have two brands? Back in 2001, Archstone Communities and Charles E. Smith Residential merged with each other. Our customers still know us under these two names. But as a company, we now operate as one: Archstone-Smith.
