Archstone-Smith has been a national partner with
Habitat for Humanity since 1999. Our partnership with
Habitat is a natural extension of what we do best –
providing exceptional homes to families across the
country!
During the past eight years, Archstone-Smith and its
associates have contributed both time and money to
help build 57 homes for deserving families. Many of
our business partners have generously contributed
funds as well.
In 2005, Archstone-Smith signed a new five-year
national partnership with Habitat. Under the partnership,
Archstone-Smith has agreed to raise and contribute $1
million to Habitat over five years. (See news release.)
In 2006, funds from that gift were shared among 11
Habitat affiliates for two “Archstone-Smith Build Days”
on September 13 and 14, 2006. Our associates traded in their business attire for
their favorite pair of jeans
and worked on Habitat homes in the following metro areas:
- Atlanta
- Boston
- Broward County, Fla.
- Denver (two sites)
- Los Angeles, Calif.
- New York City

- Washington, D.C.
